2025 opened with a big push on our “ALMA” program – African Lives Matter Absolutely. As a charity, we want to do something to bring awareness to the plight of the Africans in many countries, whose terrible sufferings and difficulties often do not make world news.
Four Turkish volunteers, two of them doctors, two Hungarian volunteers, and local volunteers and artists teamed up to launch the “Coloring the World” project in Africa. This project brightens up the lives of children suffering from long term illnesses with colorful wall murals for hospital wards, creating a child-friendly atmosphere. Studies have shown that bright, cheerful surrounding can positively influence a child’s well-being, attitude, and intelligence. In Uganda, we cheered up two hospitals and one village school.
We also held a mini-medical camp in western Congo, towards the Congolese border. Over 160 patients received treatment and 54 Ugandans had a free dental checkups.
HUMANITARIAN WORK
Since 2025, Harmony Hands Africa volunteered in the humanitarian missions work which happen in Uganda at one of the big Refugee Settlements that is Bidi-bidi Refugee Settlements where we first held our first medical camp in 2025 in response to urgent local needs on the South Sudan Ugandan border. In this area, the majority of residents lack access to even basic healthcare services.
We deliver support through humanitarian outreach, medical assistance, and refugee aid to vulnerable communities. These efforts focus on improving health outcomes and quality of life for those living in severely resource-limited environments.
